The Gulfstar 37 is an aft cockpit, sloop rigged sailing vessel with a modified full keel and skeg hung rudder.  Her shallow draft and wide beam combined with a long and powerful waterline allow this boat to travel to many small out of the way bays that deeper draft vessels might have to pass up.  Her generous beam should contribute to initial stiffness while providing gobs of living space.
